A student who believes in learning is a relentless process. A Poet by choice. Abrar is a young Scientist from Lolab Valley, Kashmir. He is currently perusing his studies from Army Goodwill School Chandigam Lolab. Famous in his area by the name 'Tech Guy', Abrar has made remarkable contribution in the field of innovation in science & technology. His work as a young boy was widely hailed by people, and most recently acknowledged and admired in the Indian Science Congress 2016. Award is just an award before him. He has several state and national awards under his belt. Currently he owns two inventions and is tirelessly working for another. Being privileged to be from the fertile land of love and beauty, it is his dream to dedicate his entire life and endeavours to the people of Kashmir and Lolab Valley in particular. The New Kashmir of our times is one of his dream. Besides this, he has a good taste for poetry as well. Influenced and inspired by Ghalib and Mohsin Naqvi, he writes urdu ghazals. Depth in his verses and the beauty with which he writes them speaks volumes about his calibre and grit. Not restricted to 'urdu ghazals' only, he writes poems in English and Kashmiri equally well with the same confidence. 'Hasrat-e-Sehar' is his first Urdu collection of ghazals. Gowhar Naz is a writer, speaker and idea guy. He lives in Lolab Valley, Kashmir with his family, friends, pen and books. He is more into writing than academics. And calls proudly himself a people's writer. Which is enough to get an idea about his writings/ the issues, which he brings into limelight. He writes columns for different local, national & international newspapers, magzines and online portals including Greater Kashmir, Rising Kashmir, Kashmir Monitor, The Milli Gazette, New Age (Dhaka, Bangladesh), The Express Tribune ( Pakistan) Countercurrents, Kashmir Magzine etcetera. At present, he is a regular columnist with Daily Kashmir Images Newspaper. He has a good taste for urdu and english poetry as well. He believes in- I'm a writer. I could say that I love to write. Perveiz Ali, born in the eighties in Pampore, the world famous Saffron Town of Kashmir, graduated in Centurion Shri Pratap College in Srinagar. He then earned his post graduate degree in Geography from The University of Kashmir and now works as an administrator in Radiant Model Public School, Khonmoh Srinagar.Enthused by folk songs composed by famous mystic Kashmiri poetic figures like Rusool Mir, Habba khatoon, Mehjoor, he started writing poems, some of which have received awards. He has also cultivated an appreciation for Urdu poetry: Sir Mohamnad Iqbal, Mirza Ghalib, Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Ahmed Faraz and Mir Takki Mir all captured his attention and inspired him to write with more sensitivity and picturesque style. He also became familiar with the beautiful versification of Aga Shahid Ali, a landmark Kashmiri-born American poet, whose influence has spiced his poetic endeavours with patriotic flavor.His body of work is multi-faceted, touching on social and communal development, individual responsibilities in the welfare of society, Nature, Romance, and his intense love of the Kashmir Valley and its heavenly beauty. His original poetry has gained him considerable appreciation in his nation, but also internationally.

Qaisar Bashir was born in Bandipora, Kashmir, in 1988. He did his M A in English in 2010. His interestes are reading and writing. He has poems and research articles, mainly discussing themes about Kashmir, published in international Journals. His translation of a Kashmiri novel, Akh Dour by Bansi Nirdoush, will be soon published.
